The Death of Newspapers

Are news papers dying out?





I believe that newspapers are dying out. The internet is taking the place of the newspapers. This is so because the internet gives you more options for more newspapers. It is also more accessable to everyone over the internet. Some of the newspaper companies are recognizing this and are starting to decrease the numbers of the newspapers and some just stop making them.





Why is it getting more difficult for newspapers to survive?





It is getting more difficult for them to survive because of internet news feeds. It is easier for people to publish news on the internet. Anyone can put news on the internet. It is easier for people to look up news on the internet. You don't have to wait for the newspaper to get your news.





Should we care if newspapers no longer exist?





We should care if the newspapers no longer are in existance because some people depend on the newspaper being there for you. Some people don't have to luxury of owning a computer or device for looking at the news on the internet. So I believe we should care but most people won't care if the exist or not. If newspapers no longer exist many people would be out of jobs. So we should care if newspapers become extinct.





What are the advantages/disadvantages of getting your news on the web, rather than from traditional newspapers?

The advantages are the you can search for just what you want. You don't have to look through the whole newspaper for the story you want. Another advantage is that you can have the news right away. Anyone can post news as soon as it happens. Some disadvantages are that newspapers are slowly dying out. More people are using the internet rather than newspapers. Therefore newspaper companies are slowly going out of busy. Soon newspaper will become extinct.

Will you miss newspapers?

I personally will somewhat miss newspapers. For example, I will miss our local newspaper because that's where I get all my local news because they don't have a website. But I will not miss the National newspapers because I can just go on the internet and read about all the national stories.
